We have done years of vigorous testing and have passed the highest form of battery safety certification, which is the UN38.3 certification. This allows us to use these second-life batteries safely in our speakers. We have taken extra caution, so you can rest at ease knowing these batteries work good as new.

Beautifully made speaker, it sounds great, looks amazing and the battery lasts for ages. From the moment I opened the packaging I was very impressed with the quality and design of this speaker. Knowing the process in which it's made makes it even more special. I'd highly recommend these from an exciting company.

Wonderful, simple speaker
I truly enjoy the product. I forget how I found out about it but I knew when I looked into it, it was something I wanted. I like to think I live a life thats fairly clutter free and this speaker felt right for me.I find it visually striking and minimal enough to blend into my environment (see the pic of it above the non functioning fireplace). When I turn it on, I feel the deep resonance from the startup sound—as if a thousand exploding suns are ready to go off! I tend to use it for podcasts in the mornings or when I'm doing prep work/cleaning up the kitchen. I like to walk the speaker around the house as I listen to something but I always return it to its home in the living room.I really like the aesthetic of the speaker. It's certainly loud but not boorish. Should I ever have the need to repair it, I'm happy to know I can call the Gomi folks to have it repaired.

Fantastic speaker beat expectations
Fantastic speaker beat expectations. Was originally attracted to the recycled aspect, but was totally impressed not only the look of the speaker, but the packaging, the sound and the functionality. Too many blue tooth speakers make it a treasure hunt to connect. The gomi's design makes it intuitive and easy to use and great to enjoy

We have obsessed over sound quality and we are happy to say that the gomi speakers sounds good as other similar priced speakers with similar dimensions. We are blown away by how good it sounds for it’s size. Of course, We do 30 day returns, so if you don’t like to for any reason, you can send it back to us.

Will this speaker work with my phone and computer?
Yes, the speaker will connect to your phone and computer. It operates via Bluetooth 5.0. So any device with a Bluetooth capabilities can connect to the device such as phones, laptops, iPads, Smart TVs etc.

What’s your returns policy?
We offer 30 day returns. If you don’t love it, you can return it for us for a full refund. You will just have to cover the shipping cost back to us.
Why second-life batteries and are they reliable?
We have done vigorous quality checking and testing to ensure that the batteries are absolutely reliable and works well as a normal battery should. We have passed UN38.3 with flying colours, which allows us to legally use these batteries in consumer electronic products like our bluetooth speakers. It's a world-first to use second-life lithium batteries in a commercial consumer electronic product like our bluetooth speakers.
We decided to use second-life batteries for many reasons, the main two reasons being humanitarian and environmental reasons.
There’s humanitarian and environmental issues around the materials used to make lithium-ion batteries. Especially around cobalt and lithium. After some thorough research and testing, we found out that many modern mobility vehicles such as e-bikes have completely fine batteries at the end of life of the e-bike. They have to be put out of service due to issues with circuit boards or coming to a fixed ‘3 year period’ where they have to replace a fleet according to contracts.
From rigorous testing we have been able to use these batteries and ensure they have a capacity close to brand new cells, We are proud to say that we have been able to safely reuse and certify lithium cells from old mobility vehicles and incorporate them into all gomi products with passing the most vigorous lithium battery standards with flying colours. We are proud to say that your gomi speaker is 100% powered by waste.
