questions ANSWERed

How does the crowdfunding process work?

We’ll be using Crowdcube, which handles everything from payments to issuing shares.

You will need to make an account prior to investing in us (if you don’t have one already), and when we go live, you’ll be given all the necessary information for you to make a decision on whether you’d like to invest or not.

What’s the return on investment, and when?

Investing in startups is always a risk. Returns aren’t guaranteed, and any return (through selling shares or dividends) could take several years.

Do not invest money that you are not prepared to lose.

Of course, our aim is to grow sustainably, however, we cannot guarantee returns.

More detail on our business plan is coming.

Can I sell my shares later?

As you are investing in a private company, your shares cannot be sold until one of the following occurs:

• A future funding round allows for share sales.

• The company is partially or fully acquired.

• The company conducts an IPO, becoming publicly traded and enabling your shares to be traded on the open market.

Please be aware that these options for selling your shares are not guaranteed.

How much are you raising and what % of the company is on offer?

We’re finalising this based on the interest we have received, and will share the exact numbers when we open pre-registration.

What tax benefits do I get from investing in gomi? EIS eligible?

We’re an EIS-eligible company, which means if you invest in gomi, you may be able to claim up to 30% income tax relief on your investment, plus potential capital gains tax exemptions. It’s a way for investors to support early-stage, innovative businesses while also receiving attractive tax advantages.

Always check with your tax advisor to confirm eligibility based on your personal situation.

How will the funds be used?

To grow our business through two means:

• Launch three new sustainable gomi tech products

• Market our products to US and EU markets

All while keeping our values.

Will you still stay sustainable and UK-based?

Absolutely. Our Brighton studio isn’t going anywhere, and nor are our team of makers. Repairable design, recycled waste materials, and products built to last will stay core to what we do and be the reason we grow.

Will I get updates as an investor?

Yes. We will share regular updates on product development, business milestones, and sustainability goals.
